About me
I am Dr. Mariapina Piantadosi, a physician specialising in Obstetrics and Gynecology. I walk alongside women at every stage of their lives — from the first gynecological visit to pregnancy and menopause — with unhurried visits built on listening and clear explanations.
My path
I graduated in Medicine and Surgery with honours (110/110) from the University of Naples Federico II, and specialised in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of L'Aquila, with a thesis on transvaginal ultrasound versus diagnostic hysteroscopy in postmenopausal endometrial thickening.
After my specialisation I worked as a hospital consultant (Dirigente Medico) in the Obstetrics and Gynecology Units of the Moriggia Pelascini Hospital in Gravedona and the S. Anna Hospital in Como: delivery room, surgery and emergencies were my daily practice. For the past few years I have been back in Campania, in the Caserta area: I work at the Villa Fiorita Clinic in Capua and see patients in my practices across the territory — bringing that hospital experience into every visit.
What I do
In my practices I offer gynecological and obstetric visits, gynecological and obstetric ultrasound, cervical screening (Pap test, HPV DNA test), colposcopy, contraceptive counselling with IUD insertion, and pregnancy care. In the operating theatre I have first-operator experience in operative hysteroscopy, conizations, caesarean sections and cervical cerclage, alongside laparoscopic surgery.
Continuous training and research
I regularly attend national congresses and advanced courses — fetal heart ultrasound (SIEOG), delivery-room emergencies, evidence-based obstetrics — and I was a speaker at the AGUI annual meeting in Milan. I am co-author of scientific publications in international journals.
My approach
First of all, I listen. Every woman arrives with her own story, her own questions and sometimes her own fears: my job is to give them space, explain clearly what is happening and decide the path together. Prevention, when it is explained well, becomes a habit — not a worry.
